After graduating from the Faculty of Medicine at Ege University in 1999, Op. Dr. Cem Karas specialized in Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery at Dokuz Eylul University between 2000-2004, where he conducted extensive research on Sleep Apnea and Snoring with a large number of patients and wrote his thesis on this topic under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ahmet Ömer İkiz.

In 2001, Op. Dr. Cem Karas began to focus intensively on Rhinology, which became his area of interest. He then served as a specialist at the Department of Otolaryngology at Dokuz Eylul University. During his military service at Gelibolu Military Hospital in 2005, he became even more involved in Rhinology and gained expertise in this area by performing and comparing around 700 operations, many of which are currently popular techniques.

Op. Dr. Cem Karas played a key role in the establishment of Turkey's first and Europe's largest Otolaryngology hospital, EKOL KBB HOSPITAL, from 2006-2017. He served as the hospital's founding chief physician for 11 years, performing nearly 20,000 Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery operations, mostly in the areas of Rhinology and Facial Plastic Surgery. During this period, he had the opportunity to work with valuable professors in his field, including Prof. Dr. Ataman Güneri, Prof. Dr. Halis Ünlü, Prof. Dr. Alivefa Yücetürk, Prof. Dr. Erdogan Inal, and Prof. Dr. Adnan Ünal, and continued his professional education with in-house training.

After 11 years of intensive work, Op. Dr. Cem Karas continued his career as a freelance physician using the knowledge and experience he had gained. He is a member of the Facial Plastic Surgery Society, the Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery Society, and the Rhinology Society in Turkey, as well as a member of the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery (EAFPS). Op. Dr. Cem Karas also worked on aesthetic nose surgery under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Gilbert TRENITE at the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands and conducted research on facial beautification and rejuvenation at the American Facial Plastic Surgery Academy in San Diego and Hollywood.
